Devin Castle

This place is definitely a must visit when in Bratislava. The entrance to this amazing castle is

€10. It offers splendid views of the Danube River connecting to Moravia River , Austria and on a clear day one would also be able to see Hungary. One can find small exhibitions underground which made the place even more unique. There us also a section where you can buy small souvenirs. While we were wondering around we also came across a Slovak group practising sword fighting :) We managed to talk to one of the members and he was explaining the history of the castle for us, must say he was very nice. If you would like to purchase any souvenirs (for example I have a snow globe collection) I suggest to buy it from a small shop near Devin Castle as they were half price from that of the City Center.

After visiting this place you can also take a walk along the Danube River and visit the monument in remembrance of those who got executed there.

Opening hours: Everyday from 10am - 6.30pm

Location: Muránská 1050/10, 841 10 Devín, Slovakia

Bratislava Castle

This is situated in the center of the city. We went to check it out and it was one of the best decisions, because it was a lovely experience. We mostly went around the castle's gardens and also sat there on the grass enjoying a drink in peace and quiet (you can find lounge chairs that can be used without any fee). You can also find some restaurants close by (will be mentioning one of them in my next blog).

Location: Hrad, 811 06 Bratislava, Slovakia

UFO Bridge

UFO Bridge and Tower from the gardens of the Bratislava Castle

Going to the UFO bridge was simply mind blowing. The view of the whole city underneath you is splendid and the best time to go is at Sunset. You can eat there (will also be talking about the restaurant in my next blog) r even just visit the observation deck at a fee.

When we went to this place we also went for a stroll near the Danube River and sat on one of the benches admiring the view.

Location: Most SNP, 851 01 Petržalka, Slovakia

Blue Church & Upside down pyramid

These were the last two places which we visited during our stay in Bratislava. The Blue Church is unique due to its unusual color.

Location: Alžbety, Bezručova 2, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovakia

On the other hand the Upside down pyramid its uniqueness is the shape. The architects were Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič and Barnabáš Kissling and it was completed in 1983. This is the Slovak Radio Building which is 80m high.

Location: mytna1, Bratislava 811 07, Slovakia

Note: For shopping we highly recommend visiting Aupark. It is a huge shopping mall where you can find everything you need at very good prices.

Location: Einsteinova 3541/18, 851 01 Petržalka, Slovakia
